The Environmental and Occupational Safety Department (EOSD) is the part of the HSE Team at Nazarbayev University. The EOSD is led by Marat Tavassov - Director of Managing Director for Environmental Safety, Health and Wellbeing, and includes EOSD administrative staff.
The EOSD works closely with the faculty and managers at the NU community and operational units, safety coordinators, safety committees, and departmental administrators.
The EOSD staff works to address safety in several areas: occupational health & safety, laboratory safety, emergency preparedness, environmental safety, and general health safety for the NU members.
Responsibility for occupational safety protection and following Safety Culture is a collaborative task and considered as requirement to all members of Nazarbayev University.
