ACCESS PROCEDURES TO NU CAMPUS

1.     Campus residents may enter campus at any time using their ID cards.

2.     If a visitor arrives accompanied by an NU employee or NU campus resident, the security guard will note down the guest’s details (name, destination on campus, date and length of visit) in their visitor logbook and give access. The guests will not be required to get out of the vehicle.

3.     Access requests for visitors who are unaccompanied by NU employee or campus resident should be sent from a corporate email @nu.edu.kz to security@nu.edu.kz with the following information:

1. Full name of the visitor(s).
2. Date or period of visit.
3. Block (room) number.
4. Car model and plate number if relevant.
5. Description of visit (for official visits) or write “Guest visit” (for personal visits to a campus resident).

4.     Security guards should only ask visitors about the required details in # 2 above. They should not comment or ask visitors – especially women visitors – about anything else (clothing, purpose of visit, etc.).

5.     Both visitors and security guards are expected to treat each other politely at all times.

6.     Access for long-term visitors to residential facilities is administered by block managers (nannies, cleaners, etc.). The block managers should add long-term visitors to the list of residents (in the column “Visitors”).

7.     Cyclists are allowed to enter from the Kabanbay Batyr Avenue Gate, but all other kinds of vehicles are only allowed to exit from there.

8.     Official taxi and delivery services (with mobile app or invoice) are allowed on campus without making an access request.

9.     If a resident or visitor faces a serious problem at the security gate, they can contact Rakhym Konusbayev, Campus Security, +8 777 001 1117. They can also email css@nu.edu.kz, and their queries will be answered within 48 working hours.
